Some of the most unique and beautiful artwork has come from creating one continuous line, whether in abstract work to the most detailed portraiture. In this workshop, under the guidance of local artist Samantha Dion Baker, participants will work on creating one, carefree, continuous line that fills the entire page, and then will fill the areas with collage, pattern, paint, or more!
Samantha Dion Baker graduated from The Cooper Union in New York City and spent over 20 years working as a graphic designer. Now a full-time illustrator, artist, and teacher, her favorite thing to do is wander the city streets and travel with her family, drawing all of the things she does, eats and sees on the pages of her sketch journal. Originally from Philadelphia, Samantha lives and works in Brooklyn with her husband and two boys. She is the author of Draw Your Day, The Draw Your Day Sketchbook, Draw Your World, and Draw Your Day For Kids!
Art Supplies including collage paper, colored pencils, paints, waterbrushes, fine line permanent pens, pencils for sketching, glue stick, and scissors will be available for use for $20, but participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they have them. Easels will be provided.
